The Kings Cars NO Commission Sales Policy – We won’t hound you for more money
Typically when you buy a vehicle the salesperson will be paid a commission for the amount of profit he or she generates from the sale. This means the more they charge the Customer, the more they make on payday. This method creates pressure and stress throughout the dealership.
Not at Kings, as we are one of a few dealerships in Australia that don’t pay Sales Commissions to our staff.
This Commission Free policy means every member of Kings Cars is there to help you through the purchasing process. There’s no pressure which allows you all the time to ask the questions you need to ask and make the decision to purchase when you’re ready.
Here are some examples Customers may encounter in another more traditional dealership… then there’s the Kings Cars way.
We won’t hound you as soon as you walk in.
Typically when you walk into a Dealership you will be pounced on by a Salesperson who will ask you a series of questions in order to qualify you as to whether and when you are likely to buy. It’s nothing personal but they are on commission and they don’t want you to waste their time when someone more likely to buy may come in after you.
At Kings we don’t pounce on you, we give you time and appreciate that you are “are not here for a haircut”and likely intend to buy at some stage whether that be today, tomorrow, next month or next year. That decision is up to you. We will give you as much or as little information as you want.
We won’t hound you on your test drive.
When it comes to a test drive you will be told the Salesperson must accompany you for insurance purposes or some other reason. In nearly all cases the real reason is so they can build rapport and overcome objections. At Kings Cars we are only too happy to go with you if you wish, but most of our Customers prefer to take it the car for a test drive themselves, it’s your choice.
We won’t hound you with more than one person of contact.
Salespeople in most dealerships are given little ability to make decisions without getting their Manager involved. Typically they are “strongly encouraged” for you to meet their Manager early during your visit and then later when price is negotiated. This is termed “double-open, double-close” and is designed to control the sales process.
What it effectively does is significantly increase the pressure, slow the sales process down, and takes the fun out of the experience of buying a car. But not at Kings Cars, we empower our salespeople to make decisions and don’t play games, otherwise it’s no fun for anyone.
We won’t hound you after you leave.
Also you may have had the all too frequent and unfortunate experience of being harassed after visiting a Dealership by a salesperson all too eager and no doubt with a Manager pushing them. This may be in the form of email, text and phone calls that go on and on, so much at times you may have considered changing your phone and email. At Kings we won’t hound you we respect you have a decision to make and are available when you are ready. This is not complacency or disinterest on our behalf believe us we are as keen as the next dealership to sell you a car but we respect your privacy.
You also may be surprised to learn that in many dealerships, salespersons phone calls with prospective Customers are recorded so Managers can shape them to ask the “right” questions, get your details, get a commitment etc.
At Kings Cars we don’t try to create sales clones, we employ our staff for attitude, their unique individuals we want them to be themselves, show their great personalities and enjoy helping someone choose the right car for them and we certainly don’t record phone calls.
So if you want to be treated as a person not a “pay-cheque” by one of our fantastic sales individuals, enjoy the car-happiness that can only come from buying your next car from The Commission Free Dealer - Kings Cars.
